Rosin to shatter: understanding cannabis concentrates

What’s the Difference Between Live Resin and Live Rosin??   Trisha Edwards Live Resin and Live Rosin are two different types of cannabis extracts.  Both terms, resin, and rosin, refer to multiple products, in and outside of cannabis culture, so let’s give some clarity .  In cannabis culture, the term Live Resin is used in reference to a solvent based extract, (BHO or butane hash oil is the most widely used solvent), that is made with live, or freshly frozen plant material.  It is created through a single pass extraction that captures the plant’s terpene profile by extracting the resin glands before they dry and cure.  For that reason, live resin is considered one of the best cannabis concentrates for consumers who want the “full flavor and cannabinoid profile of their strains”. It tends to be more expensive than other concentrates because of the difficulty in the process of creating it, but it offers some of the most powerful psychoactive effects and medical benefits.   Rosin and Live
